New Girl

Zooey Deschanel is making a big appearance this season between her new Christmas c.d. with M. Ward and a television show out on Fox!

If you haven't seen New Girl airing Tuesdays at 8, definitely watch one of the half hour shows this weekend! I promise you will be hooked.

Tunes Tuesday: Coldplay

Coldplay just dropped its latest album Oct. 21. Rolling Stone recently gave it three and a half stars and said, "It's a bear-hug record for a bear-market world."

With punchier sounds than past albums, Mylo Xyloto is a lot more dynamic. The above song features Rihanna which adds something a little unexpected. I recommend checking out Hurts Like Heaven, and Charlie Brown, if you're not a fan of the whole album. Enjoy, friends!

Sisters united again in Bloomington

Friends, last week was absolutely insane school-wise. However, it all led up to an awesome weekend with my older sister Genevieve. Check out some of the fun we had around town!

Gen brought chocolate mustaches from New York, and my mom sent a flat Madeline. My middle sister Madeline has been teaching English in South Korea since last August. The whole family has not been reunited since her college graduation in May 2010, I do believe.

Last August, Madeline and I made a trip to NYC to visit Genevieve before she headed to Korea. It was an especially special visit having Gen here in Bloomington. Next up? The whole fam is to be reunited this Christmas! The anticipation is nearly killing my mother!

Of course a stop to Bloomington Bagel Company was one of the first on the list!

And candy was a must!

A trip to Bloomington wouldn't be the same without Mother Bear's Pizza.

And we wrapped up the weekend with a stop at Runcible Spoon - a cute breakfast nook where you're practically elbow to elbow with the people next to you. I couldn't help but wonder if the quiet family of three beside us was eavesdropping...

I hope you all had lovely weekends and enjoyed the pictures from mine!

NWI Times Young Voices Panel

School is without a doubt in full swing! Anyone other Hoosiers swamped with exams this week? It seems like the consensus in the house is that last week, and these next two weeks are crunch time for everyone. Woof.

On a lighter note, I am long awaiting my sister flying in from New York on Thursday (if that isn't incentive to study, then I don't know what is!)

Until then, I will be resorting to Mayo's top ten stress relievers to prevent early onset female baldness! Living with 80 girls, I don't think #3 and #4 will be too difficult.

And instead of resorting to eating food, I plan on only drooling over it.

Also, check it out... I'm officially a published columnist!

Have a cool Fall weekend!

Need a cool way to store your books?

Did I mention I finally found some colored denim!

Excellent daytime ruffles.

Looking for the perfect glitter nail polish? (This one's for my best friend Lainey who believes in crazy fun nail designs and the perfect pink polish!)

The pink one matches my sparkle phone case perfectly!

I think I've decided Josh Kelley will be my first dance at my wedding :)

Speaking of which, what a beautiful wedding!  Be sure to scroll down and see the candy bar party favors!

What a versatile LBD.

What a crazy staircase from Dwell

Sometimes you just need a good laugh

In a quest to keep up with the news, I decided the Comics looked more interesting. And they say we are an uninformed public - HAH! I'd like to think we just filter what we want to see.

And now I present to you the comics from the Oct. issue of The New Yorker...

So sad, but so true: did you hear funeral services now include photo slideshows to enhance the emotion? Crazy. I don't know how I feel about that one.

These kids' faces kill me. They remind me of something my sister Madeline might draw.
(Maybe that's why I like it so much!)

Don't you wish you had this capability? No more regretted dishes - huzzah!

"What's one thing you would take on a deserted island with you?"
My family would be the ones with their noses in books and magazines.

Tunes Tuesday: Josh Kelley

I love me a melodious piano! Sing it again, Josh!

Francesca's Collections

Have you heard of Francesca's?

Evidently, it's a boutique that has been around since 1999 (and has been around forever, according to my sorority sisters), yet I just stumbled upon it this weekend!

It's as if Anthropologie and Forever 21 had a love child and Urban Outfitters was its distant cousin.

The clothes are perfect for hanging out or going out! I was drooling over all the accessories and knick knacks I wanted to buy for my friends.

Happy shopping!

Winter trends 2011

How cute is this infinity scarf from Gap!

How trendy would it look with these mustard gloves?
Or maybe you're feeling more classic with matching red ones!

And I love how Old Navy incorporated color blocking in a sweater!
So trendy, and so cute!

Young Talent

This video has twice the hits it does than when I saw it last night.
The girl is five years old, I do believe, and boy can she break it down!

Or have you seen these seven year olds dancing to "Single Ladies"?
The Toddlers and Tiaras generation is making its mark full force!

Thanks for the finds, Annie and Cara!

Annie's scrapbook

Hey, friends! I have been meaning to share with you this scrapbook I made!

I sent it to my good friend Annie for her birthday this past August! Enjoy!

Kindle Fire

Remember when I couldn't decide between the Kindle and the Nook?
Looks like Amazon has answered my prayers!

Just look at how crisp those magazines look! Ahh, the power of marketing.

They also advertise children's books. Can you imagine the day when your kid comes running with a Kindle and asks you to read them a story?
Crazy how fast technology is moving!
